Printer's Plan SQL Version 1.6.18 Release Notes (9/30/2026) Follow
Bringing a Minimized Window Back into View
Background
Printer's Plan can display several windows at once, and only the window in the foreground accepts input. When one of those windows was minimized, it could be difficult to locate and return to.
Solution
Any time a Printer's Plan window has been minimized, press Ctrl+H to bring it back to the foreground. The window is centered on your screen so it is easy to find.
Improvements and Fixes:
When a Ship To address is selected on a job, if that address has a default tax different from the tax assigned to the job, the job is now updated to the new tax rate. All items that were assigned the job's original tax rate are updated to the new rate as well; items set to a different tax rate remain unchanged.
- In the My Plan tool, the Top Sales (last 12 months) reports under both My Contacts and My Customers returned no data when run. This has been resolved and both reports now pull and display data as expected.
- In the My Plan tool, the All (Not Hidden) views under My Customers and My Contacts displayed 01/01/1900 in the last order and last quote date columns for records with no order or quote history, and the Days Ago column displayed a date instead of a number of days. This has been resolved and both columns now display correctly — blank where there is no history, and the correct number of days elapsed.
- The Item Margin % window now indicates that 99% is the maximum margin percentage that can be entered.
- When repricing an item using the Ask Margin % price level, Printer's Plan would not save the margin percentage entered — it would instead save the margin it had calculated from the item's original price. Editing the service cost and the margin together in the Edit Cost window also produced an unexpected price. This has been resolved and the margin entered is now applied and saved correctly in both cases.
- The item size fields — Width, Height, Panel Width, and Panel Height — now support up to four decimal places, allowing more precise item measurements. Existing job and item data is not affected by this change.
- In Settings, records in the Shipping Methods and Shipping Services lists that were marked as hidden with a tilde (~) still appeared in the Shipping Method and Shipping Service drop-down lists. This has been resolved and hidden records are now excluded from both drop-downs as described.
- In the Scheduler tab, the Progress Report by Job Due Date and Progress Report by Item Location printed a column for every service department, including departments with no work on the report. The extra columns narrowed the Description column and cut item descriptions off. This has been resolved and both reports now include columns only for departments that have data, leaving descriptions fully visible.
In the Scheduler tab, the Scheduler> Date lists returned incorrect results. The specific date filters returned no jobs at all, even when a job had a service scheduled for that date, and the filter for work scheduled beyond the next two weeks returned everything scheduled both before and after that range. This has been resolved and the Scheduler date filters now return only the jobs matching the selected date range.
