Making a Local Printers Plan Environment with a backup of your Cloud-Hosted Database. Follow
1, Printers Plan requires a collection of redistributable libraries provided by Microsoft. This is a fairly common library, so it may already be on your workstation. You can download it from the link below, if it gives you an error when attempting to install it, then is likely already installed.
Download Printer's Plan Libraries
2. You will need to be using a RemoteApp connection, if you are not, please use the article linked below to set this up.
Workstation Setup - RemoteApp Step-by-step Configuration
You will need to open the server's file explorer by typing explored in the Windows search bar.
the one you want will explicitly be named Explorer (work resource)
After that go to the drive explicitly named C:\inetpub\wwwroot\PlanWeb\App_Data\
You will want to copy and paste 3 files from the server to paste into your test folder on your local workstation.
1. PlanData.mdb
2. PlanWin.pp
3. pp.exe
After all of this is in place, you can double-click on pp.exe to launch the program.
Printers Plan might ask you to locate the database. If this happens, then navigate to the PlanData file in your test folder. If you were a past local Printers Plan user, then it is possible your old database may open, or an error related to the database being old can occur. If this happens, your workstation remembers the old location of the Printers Plan database, and the database is still there. To correct this, you will want to delete or rename the original database.
