Resetting email addresses and passwords for your users - MKB 110 Follow
As a Site Administrator or Site Owner, you’re able to change your user's email address and password, in most cases.
Updating the User’s email address:
Under normal conditions, you can locate the user in Users & Groups, select the row for their user account, and click on the Edit button. From here you can edit their email address. However, if that user uses the same email address on a different MyOrderDesk website, that is not linked to your website, the email and password field will not accept changes and the user must log in with their password to change their email address. You can also contact support to have the email address changed.
Updating the User’s password:
Under normal conditions, you can locate the user in Users & Groups, select the row for their user account, and click on the Edit button. From here you can use the Change Password link to manually key in a new password. However, there are a few conditions where this isn’t possible.
- That user uses the same email address on a different MyOrderDesk website that is not linked to yours.
- You have disabled the changing of passwords under Site Settings > Options > Sign Up & Security.
