Shop Floor Data Collection - Reporting Follow
The following reports can be accessed from the Reports module of Midnight.
Job Costing: Active Orders Detail Report
This report provides a real-time view of orders that currently have employees or machines actively jobbed into Shop Floor tasks. The report includes order information such as Customer, Order Number, Project, and Version, along with machine and employee details including Machine, Task, Shift, Due Date, Start Date, Start Time, Count, Number of Helpers, Service Quantity, and Estimated Hours. Only tasks that are actively being worked on through Shop Floor are included, making this report useful for monitoring current work in progress and production resources.
Job Costing: Direct Labor Cost by Order Report
This report provides a detailed view of employee labor activity recorded through Shop Floor for each order. The report includes Customer, Order Number, Project Name, Due Date, CSR, and Sales Representative information, along with each employee who has logged into a Shop Floor task for the order. This report is useful for reviewing labor participation, analyzing direct labor costs, and understanding employee involvement across production orders.
Job Costing: Machine Summary by Date Range Report
This report provides a detailed summary of machine activity recorded through Shop Floor within a selected date range. The report is grouped by Machine and lists all employees who have jobbed into machine tasks, along with details such as Date, Order Number, Customer, Project, Version, Service, Quantity, Start Time, End Time, Total Time, Estimated Time, and any Shop Floor task comments. This report is useful for reviewing machine utilization, employee activity, and comparing estimated versus actual production time across a specified period.
Job Costing: Machine Summary by Order
This report provides the same information as the Job Costing: Machine Summary by Date Range Report, but the data is grouped by Order Number rather than by Machine. This allows users to review all machine activity associated with a specific order in a single location.
Job Costing: Machine Utilization Report
This report provides insight into machine usage and employee activity captured through Shop Floor. The report can be filtered by Start Date, End Date, Machine Department, Machine, and Employee, allowing users to analyze utilization across specific periods, departments, equipment, or personnel.
Job Costing: Order Detail Analysis Report
This report provides a detailed breakdown of the costs and expenses associated for a selected order, allowing users to analyze the financial details of a job from start to finish. The report consolidates the various costs incurred throughout production, giving visibility into the expenses that contribute to the overall job cost. This report is commonly used for job costing analysis, profitability review, and identifying cost drivers within individual orders.
Job Costing: Rework Report
This report provides detailed information on Shop Floor tasks that have been jobbed out of and marked as Rework. The report identifies all tasks requiring rework within a specified date range, allowing managers and supervisors to review rework activity, track recurring production issues, and evaluate the impact of rework on productivity and job costs. This report is useful for quality control analysis, process improvement efforts, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve production efficiency.
Job Costing: Service Detailed Time Clock Report
This report provides a detailed record of employee time captured through Shop Floor, grouped by date and employee. The report lists each Order Number, Service, Service Description, and Machine, along with the corresponding Start Time, End Time, and Total Time recorded for each task. This report is useful for reviewing employee activity, analyzing labor time by service and order, and validating production time recorded throughout the shop floor.
Job Costing: Time Variance Report
This report compares the estimated time and actual time recorded for Shop Floor tasks, allowing users to identify time variances across production activities. The report displays the Service Name, Estimated Time, Actual Time, and the resulting Time Variance for each task that has been jobbed into through Shop Floor. This report is useful for evaluating production efficiency, identifying tasks that consistently exceed estimates, and improving future estimating and scheduling accuracy.
