Can my customer download the ezMerge Production file (Digital Download)? Follow
Yes. It is possible to give your customers the ability to download the production file created by ezMerge. You have two options:
- Admin > Site Settings > Options > Job Detail Options. Select "Allow customer to download ezMerge and PDF2U production files." This is a site-wide option where the customer is allowed to download all files either before, or after the order is placed. This option only applies to their own jobs.
- Admin > ezMerge Templates > Select Template > Templates tab. Select "Digital Download." This option allows customers to download only that specific ezMerge file overriding the setting above. Also, the files are only available after they checkout.
The customer can find the files by going to their History page and selecting the "Files/Proofs" tab. If you are using option 2 above, then when the order is complete, we will provide a link on the confirmation page that will take them to the Files/Proofs area so they can download the file.
You can also add the {JobFilesListURL} tag to the "Job Received" email that they get after their order is placed. By selecting the link that this tag provides, they will be brought directly to the Files/Proofs area where the files can be found. Please note: if you use this tag, then all Job Received emails will include any text you add and the link to that folder regardless if there are files for them or not. It would be best to include some text explaining this if you add that tag.
