Custom Reports in Midnight: Professional Services Engagement Overview – Print Reach Help Center

When a custom report is requested, it is treated as a Professional Services engagement. You will receive a payment link for the required, non‑refundable Quoting Fee of $225. This quoting fee does not apply toward, or reduce, the recommended hourly Professional Services package needed to complete the requested work.

Once the quoting fee has been paid, the original support ticket will be closed as the work transitions from Support to Professional Services. You will then receive an invitation from our Project Manager to join your Professional Services project in GUIDEcx. From that point on, all project communication, updates, deliverables, and progress tracking will be managed within GUIDEcx.

As shown in the graphic, the Professional Services workflow consists of six phases, beginning with Quoting Fee and Estimation and ending with Report Delivery and Hours Remaining and Expiration Tracking.

After the quoting fee is paid, the next step is to complete the Midnight Custom Report Planning Form and provide a detailed mock-up. The mock-up is critical, as it shows where in Midnight the report data should originate. Together, the planning form and mock-up are used to define the report scope and allow our Development team to provide an accurate estimate.

Please note that if a mock-up is not provided, our Professional Services team will need to create one on your behalf, and that effort will be included in the estimated hours to build the report.

Typically, you will receive a draft version of the report on your site, and based on the approved estimate, we will recommend the appropriate hourly package and provide a payment link directly within the GUIDEcx task.

Hourly Package Options (5‑hour minimum):

5 Hours: $1,125
10 Hours: $2,000
15 Hours: $2,869
20 Hours: $3,690
40 Hours: $7,200

Once the scope has been approved and submitted to our Development team, any requests that fall outside of the approved scope will be deducted from the purchased package hours. Requests that exceed both the approved scope and the available package hours will require additional Professional Services charges.

As outlined in Phase 5, the report is built, reviewed, and approved. In Phase 6, the remaining hours and expiration date are tracked. We strongly recommend recording and monitoring this information, as Professional Services hours are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
