New and Updated Midnight Reports - Update 6: January 27, 2025 Follow

In our last five releases, we introduced new and updated reports for Midnight. We're continuing this initiative with the sixth release, which includes:

• 4 Accounting Reports (1 new, 3 updated)
• 2 Customer List Reports (2 new)
• 3 DJB Reports (3 updated)
• 1 Employee Report (1 updated)
• 1 Inventory Reports (1 updated)
• 11 Job Costing / Profitability Reports (5 new, 6 updated)
• 2 Other Reports (2 new)
• 20 Postage Reports (8 new, 12 updated)
• 6 Production Reports (2 new, 4 updated)
• 2 Purchasing Reports (2 new)
• 5 Sales Reports (4 new, 1 updated)
• 1 Warehouse Item Request Report (1 new)

New Reports:

• Accounting: Invoices Paid by Sales Rep – Displays fully paid invoices, searchable by sales representative.
• Customer: List with Contact Report (Export) – Provides an exportable list of customers and their contacts.
• Prospect: List with Contacts Report (Export) – Provides an exportable list of prospects and their contacts.
• Job Costing: Direct Labor Cost by Order Report – Shows direct labor costs from shopfloor data collection, organized by order.
• Job Costing: Machine Summary by Order Report – Summarizes machine utilization grouped by order.
• Job Costing: Machine Utilization Report – Details overall machine utilization.
• Profitability: Sales by Rep Summary – Summarizes profitability data, organized by sales representative.
• Profitability: Top 25 Customers – Lists the top 25 customers based on profitability.
• Profitability: Write-Ups by Day Report – Tracks jobs written up per day and their associated profitability.
• Active Legacy Report Objects – Displays all active legacy reports.
• Active Report Objects – Displays all active reports.
• Postage Account: Earmarked Transactions Report – Lists earmarked transactions with their associated order numbers.
• Postage Affixed: Client Permit by Customer – Lists orders using client permit-affixed postage.
• Postage Affixed: Meter by Customer Report – Details orders using meter-affixed postage, including meter numbers.
• Postage Payments: Postage Checks Received by Customer – Tracks postage checks received, organized by customer.
• Postage Payments: Transactions by Customer – Lists all postage transactions searchable by customer.
• Postage Used: By Affixed / Date Summary – Groups postage usage data by affix type and date.
• Postage Used: Outstanding Balance Report – Displays all outstanding postage balances.
• Postage Used: WOPO Report by Drop Date – Lists orders by drop date that are marked as Waiting on Postage (WOPO).
• Transactions: Postage and Service Detail – Lists transactions, including starting and ending balances.
• Production: Schedule by Due Date Report – Allows searchability of the production schedule by due date.
• Production: WIP Report – Displays all work in progress.
• Shopfloor: Active Orders by Employee Report – Highlights active orders assigned to employees.
• Shopfloor: Active Orders by Machine Report – Highlights active orders assigned to machines.
• Purchasing: RFQ #1 – Uses the Purchase Order Report to create Vendor Request for Quote (Design #1).
• Purchasing: RFQ #2 – Uses the Purchase Order Report to create Vendor Request for Quote (Design #2).
• Sales: Customer + Contact + Service – Lists sales data, including customer, contact, and service details.
• Sales: Customer + Contact + Services Total + Tax – Lists sales data, including customer, contact, service totals, and tax.
• Sales: MOD by Customer Report – List all MyOrderDesk orders, searchable by Customer.
• Sales: Top Customers by Revenue Report – List top 25 customers by total revenue.
• Warehouse: Packing Slip (Broker) – Generates a generic packing slip for print brokers.

Updated Reports:

• Accounting: Daily Report – Corrected GLIDs for Payments Posted
• Accounting: Invoices Report (Paid) – Added search by customer.
• Accounting: Invoices Report (Unpaid) – Added search by customer.
• Sales: Yearly Summary by Customer – Corrected Total Sales.

We highly suggest reviewing and deactivating any unused or unwanted reports to keep the list organized and to save server space.

IMPORTANT: The deprecation schedule for legacy reports will be announced within the next few weeks. To identify reports slated for deprecation, access the Active Legacy Report Objects report under "Other Reports." If you rely on any of these legacy reports, they must be cloned and recreated as User-Modified reports before the deprecation date specified in the schedule. Please note that simply renaming these reports is insufficient—they must be cloned and fully recreated.

Any inactive Custom Reports (not used in the last year) will be deactivated on March 31, 2025.

Here is some helpful information to help you navigate the changes.

There are 3 new icons added to the original stock (legacy) icon you are already familiar with. This is what they represent: 

•   Stock: Standard Midnight Reports re-designed and updated.
•   Custom: Implementation/Professional Services Custom Reports. Custom Reports can no longer be edited by anyone but Print Reach staff.  
•   Modified: User Modified Reports.

The various report types will be supported in the following manner:

• Stock and Pro Services Custom Reports will be supported. 
• User Modified Reports will not be supported.
