Controlling what Item Types appear in the Paper drop-down within the Print Calculator
When setting up your Print Calculator, you may have noticed that only certain inventory items appear in the paper drop-down.
You are not limited to only the Item Type of Paper. When setting up your warehouse, you have control of which Item Types can be used as raw stock for printing. If you have additional Item Types you use for printing and that would like to have available for the print calculator, you may make the change in Admin. You can access Admin by clicking on the gear in the top-right hand corner of the screen. Scroll down to Warehouse within the Admin Lists. Click on the plus sign to expand the Warehouse list. Click on Item Types.
To make an Item Type (such as "envelope" or "roll stock") available for the print calculator, click the pencil on the right of the line to enable editing. Check the checkbox for Print Type as this flags it as available for the Print Calculator. Click the Update button to save your change.
Inventory Items having this Item Type will now appear for use in the calculator.
Know that you will still need to set up the paper specs on your inventory items (within the warehouse module) so that the values can be used in the calculator.
