Item Type Setup Follow
Item Types define the categories of inventory that can be stored and managed within the Warehouse module of Midnight.
To view or manage Item Types, navigate to the Administrative section by clicking the gear icon. From there, expand the Warehouse menu and select Item Types to access the current list of configured item types.
There are six columns displayed in the Item Types list:
- Description – A description of the item type used for identification and reference.
- Name – The name of the item type as it will appear throughout the Warehouse module.
- Print Type – Indicates whether the item type is available for selection within the Print calculator.
- WF Type – Indicates whether the item type is available for selection within the Wide Format calculator.
- Laminate Type – Indicates whether the item type is available for selection as a laminate material within the Wide Format calculator.
- Mount Type – Indicates whether the item type is available for selection as a mounting material within the Wide Format calculator.
Adding New Item Types
To add a new Item Type, scroll to the bottom of the Item Types list and click within the gray row to create a new record. Enter the Name and Description, then select the appropriate calculator options where the Item Type should be available.
After completing all required fields, click the blue Save button to add the Item Type to the list and make it available for use within the Warehouse module.
