Auto Update CRM on Copy - Admin Setting Follow
Determine whether to copy addresses on orders or pull from CRM when an order is copied
In Midnight you have the choice of having the billing and shipping addresses that are set up on the order carry to any copied orders or you may choose to have the system always refresh the newly copied order with the addresses from the CRM record for the customer.
An advantage of always pulling the data from the customer means that your billing and shipping addresses will always be correct on new orders as updates made within CRM will populate on all new orders. Your team will not have to manually update any templates or orders that are copied each time a customer changes their billing or shipping addresses. If instead, you want to maintain unique addresses on each order so that newly copied orders have the addresses as on the original order, Midnight can be set to have that logic. (In this instance, a user can still change addresses on each record individually.)
If you would like to ensure that addresses are always pulled from the customer record when new orders are created by copying a previous order, you may set that option within Admin. To set this up (or verify you have the option turned on), click on Admin which is accessed via the gear in the top-right hand corner. When Admin opens, click on Global Settings within the lists on the left-hand side. Within Global Setting, click on Estimates/Orders.
Make sure that Auto Update CRM on Copy is flagged with a checkmark. If you make any changes, click Save before leaving the screen.
