Improve Dynamic Job Board (DJB) Load time with Pagination Follow
Add pagination to your DJB
You can make the Task View of the Dyanmic Job Board load faster!
The Dynamic Job Board is a powerful tool, but if you find the loading of the speed to be slower than desired, there are some options that will help.
- Turning on DJB Pagination (database level)
- Removing unneeded columns from the view (user level)
The default view for the DJB is to have all records on one page, allowing you to scroll down to view each record. You have the option to enable pagination for the Task View on your site which controls how many records are displayed at one time, thus increasing the speed the page loads as well as allowing you to better size the page to minimize scrolling.
To change the setting, go to Administration (click the gear in the top-right hand corner of Midnight). Once in Admin, navigate down to Global Settings on the left. Click on the DJB tab within Global Settings. On this screen, near the bottom, there is an option for “Pagination”.
When you select that option, be sure to also enter how many records you wish to populate each separate page (i.e. 20, 30, etc.). (You must type a numerical value of 1 or greater or no data will show on your Task View.) Click the Save button on the tab in Admin to save your changes.
When you save the change, the Task View of the DJB will then display only that many records on each page when using the pagination option. The load time of the screen will increase and you can still go through each page to view all records under each tab.
The page selection on your Task View of your DJB will look like this:
At the bottom of each screen on the Task View, you may use the "Page" option on the left to go directly to a specific page of records within any screen or you may use the arrows to navigate. The system will display how many pages of data you have on the right-hand side of the section and denote which page you are looking at.
Be aware that displaying fewer columns on the DJB will also make the screen load faster. If there are any columns you have on display that you do not need, you can turn them off at the user level. Visit https://support.printreach.com/hc/en-us/articles/360057139114 to learn more!
