The Machine Departments is accessible through the Admin Module.
Use this list to define various departments for production. Each machine in the Machine List will need to have a department associated with it. The Department does not have to be a piece of equipment it can be a department that has its own set of tasks such as handwork or kitting
The list is used to create schedules as each department can be staffed differently. This list needs to be configured before setting up the Standard Services List, and Shop Floor Data capture modules. It's also used when defining properties for standard services.
After entering your Machine Department name, Shift start and end times you will have the option to add a machine to that department
You will have wanted to create your machines before you create your machine department, then you will have the option here to select from the machines you have created and assign them to that department.
