Add New Client Stock from an Order Follow
Quick Add a new inventory item from the order screen
When building an order, a client may alert you that they will be sending stock for use on the job. In order to be able to add the stock to the inventory tab of the job, the item must exist in the system. Luckily, Midnight does not require you to physically access the warehouse module in order to add new stock to the system and the order you are working on.
While in the order for the customer, click the Quick Links drop-down on the top-right hand corner of the screen. Select “Quick Create Inventory”.
When you choose this option, a screen will pop up enabling you to add the key description details for the item. Fill out the inventory data as required by your company's processes.
When you save the record, the item will be added to Midnight under that client (with a zero on-hand balance) and the item will also be added to the Inventory tab of your order so that it will print on the job ticket for use. (The Qty Needed will pull from the Expected Quantity, but that value can be changed as needed.)
As you’ve already created the inventory item, pass on the Item Code or Item ID to your customer so they may add that to their packing slip so your team can quickly identify the material for receipt when it comes in.
