Change the Default Attachment Name for an Emailed Report Follow
Update the default file name shown on emailed reports
You might have noticed that while the name of a report might make sense for your team, that same designation may not be something you wish to have customers ask about. For example, your report may have a descriptor or internal name that should not be client-facing like “Estimate - no zero prices”. Within Midnight, you can change the default name of the report that gets attached when emailing from Midnight.
To change the default name used when a report is emailed, go to Admin using the gear in the top-right-hand corner of the screen. Within the Admin List on the left, navigate down to Report Objects.
Locate the report you wish to update. On the right-hand side of the report, click the Edit icon. You will want to find the columns titled "Display Name" and "Attach File As" and adjust both to your desired result. After making the change, click the update icon at the far right-hand side of the line.
The next time you or your team use the email option when previewing the report, the attached file will now have the new name you assigned!
