Issue Tracking Follow
The Issue Tracking Module in Midnight is a simple module designed to facilitate the recording of any kind of production issues, materials issues, or any other general issues your shop has had in the production and completion of a job. The module is comprised of a search screen and an entry screen, and will capture details on various reports in the system.
Issue Search
The Search for Issue screen shows all of the issues recorded in your system. The fields across the top of the screen allow you to filter the list of issues that you are looking for by Customer, Issue Number, Order Number, Project Name, who it was Entered By, the Service, the Issue Type, the Date, Issue Status, and the Close Date.
Once you have used the search screen to find the issue you were looking for, you can click on the Issue Number Link to open up the record.
Issue Entry Screen
Whether you add a new record or open an existing record in Issue Tracking, you will be using the Issue Entry Screen.
An issue is essentially a recording of the job you were working on when an issue occurred, where the issue occurred, and what the issue was. Ultimately, you can also record what you did to resolve the issue. This can be done at the time of the entry of the issue or when you change the status to closed.
The fields to enter are:
- Customer
- Order
- Version
- Service
- Department
- Issue Type
- Quantity
- Issue Description
- Resolution
- Date (defaults to current date)
- Status
- Credit (flag to indicate that credit was due)
- Credit Amount
- Issue cost
- Close Date
