Reopen locked orders
There is an option in Admin where you can lock exported orders so that no changes can be made to the order, unless logged in as an Admin. Turning on this option helps maintain a check and balance so that the data imported into your accounting system matches what is in Midnight. (The option is located within Global Settings on the Estimate/Order tab.)
When an order has been closed and exported but needs to go back to the production floor and possibly have additional information added or changed, you have the ability to undo the exported flag so that the team can make changes to the order as normal.
Admin rights are required to make the change.
If there is an order that was closed and exported that needs to be re-opened so that changes can be made by users, the process to restore the order is straightforward. On the Orders Search screen, use the Extended Search to include Closed Orders when searching for the order in question. Select the order to open it.
If the order was closed prior to exporting, remove the Close Date from the order. (Click within the field and delete the Close Date.)
