Unlock a User Follow
What to do if a user gets locked out.
If someone on your team is having a bad day and types the wrong password 5 times when trying to log in, the system will lock them out. This security is in place as an attempt to block hackers from gaining access to your system with a valid username.
If after the fifth attempt, the user recalls their password, they will still need to be unlocked in order to log in.
To unlock a user, use the gear in the top-right-hand corner of Midnight to access the Administration module. On the left-hand side of the screen, navigate down to Employees. On the screen that comes up, search for and select the employee record of the user.
Click on the User Security tab (the last tab). Uncheck the “Locked Out” checkbox. Click the Save & Close button. Once you submit the record, the user will be able to log in as normal. (The Locked Out field gets flagged when a user logs in with the incorrect password five times.)
