Hide Services from the Task View of the DJB Follow
How to remove specific services from your DJB Task View
You may have services set up solely for invoicing purposes or for other order reasons not needed for production management and tracking. You have control of which services appear on the DJB Task View and you are able to limit that view to include only relevant services the team wishes to track in each department.
The control for this lies at the service level in Admin. If there is a service such as "storage" or "credit card processing fee" that belongs on an order, but should not display on the Dynamic Job Board Task View, you may remove that service from appearing by updating the record. To make the change, click on the gear in the top-right hand corner of Midnight to access Admin. Scroll down to Standard Services within the Admin Lists. When you click on Standard Services, the screen will populate with all of your active services. Locate and select the service you wish to remove from the DJB.
In the bottom half of the screen for the setup of the service, there is a checkbox for "Show on DJB/Calendar". If you uncheck this field, once you Save & Close, the service will no longer appear on the Task View of the DJB.
In addition to services set up primarily for invoicing purposes, many companies elect to flag certain data processing services so they do not appear on the DJB so that the number of line items on the DJB for the Task View in that department is not overwhelming. The team can still view the work order to see the full listing of services on the job.
Once you've cleaned up the Standard Services list, your Task View can accurately reflect the services your production team manages.
